Dr Matthew Edwards is a Senior Lecturer of Cybersecurity at University of Bristol.

His research interests lie at the intersection of cyber security and data science, commonly crossing over into development and application of machine learning techniques. Dr Edwards’ work has focused around understanding security implications from online data in application domains such as child protection, social engineering, online fraud and technologically-centred cybercrime, whilst simultaneously attempting to improve the transparency and reliability of technologies applied for cyber security purposes.
