Dr José Such is a Professor in Security and Privacy in the Department of Informatics, and Director of the KCL Cybersecurity Centre at King’s College London. He is the KCL lead, Mission Co-lead, and Strategic Board member of REPHRAIN.

He works at the intersection of Security and Privacy, HCI and AI. He particularly focuses on how to help users manage their privacy and security online aided by AI, as well as on how to make AI-based systems more privacy-aware, secure, fair and more transparent to the user. He has been PI on several EPSRC-funded projects on these topics (RePriCo, DADD, SAIS) in excess of £2M, and on government and industry-funded projects (NCSC, Google).
