Hao Tsung Yang (Rey) is a Research Associate in Informatics at University of Edinburgh. starting from September 2021.

Rey received his PhD degree at Computer Science, Stony Brook University, in 2020, advised by Prof. Jie Gao and Prof. Shan Lin. During 2019 to 2020, Rey was also a research scientist at Sunrise technology from 2019 to 2020, and, in 2013 – 2014, he was research assistant at the Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica.

Rey’s research theme focuses on designing scheduling algorithms that remain reliable and perform well, even while under attack. Rey is also interested in design mechanisms that only collect / store a limited volume of information to restrict the damage of information leakage while still providing satisfying quality of service.
