Professor Lynne Coventry is Director of the Academic Centre of Excellence in Cybersecurity Research at Northumbria. She is also Co-Director of the cross university multidisciplinary research theme of Human and Digital Design. She has an interdisciplinary background in Psychology and Software Engineering and led an interdisciplinary HCI research group in Industry for 10 years. She was a founding member of RISCS and has sat on different government reviews regarding cybersecurity behaviours. Her work focuses on the impact of technology on our everyday lives, particularly security technology. Her work sits at the intersection of usability, accessibility and inclusion, exploring how socially responsible technologies should be designed to enable everyone in society to thrive.
