Shujun Li is Professor of Cyber Security at the School of Computing and Director of the Institute of Cyber Security for Society (iCSS), University of Kent, UK.

iCSS represents the University of Kent as a UK Government recognised Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research (ACE-CSR) and an Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education (ACE-CSE) with Gold Award status. His research interests are mostly about inter-disciplinary topics related to cyber security and privacy, human factors, digital forensics and cybercrime, multimedia computing, AI and data science, and more recently technology-enhanced education and learning. His work covers multiple application domains, including but not limited to digital health, smart cities, smart homes, and e-tourism. Professor Li has published over 150 scientific papers, including five Best Papers. He received multiple awards and honours including the 2022 IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems Guillemin-Cauer Best Paper Award, a 2022 Research and Innovation Award from the IEEE SMC (Systems, Man, and Cybernetics) Society TCHS (Technical Committee on Homeland Security), and a 2012 ISO/IEC Certificate of Appreciation for leading the editing of the international standard ISO/IEC 23001-4:2011. Professor Li is a Fellow of the BCS, a Senior Member of IEEE, a co-founder and a Vice President of the Association of British Chinese Professors (ABCP).
