Waleed Iqbal is an Assistant Professor in Data Science at Northeastern University London and a Teaching Fellow in Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London. He obtained his PhD in Computer Science from Queen Mary University of London.  

 His research interests are broadly in Manifestation of Socio-Economic Inequalities in Online User Activity. His work appears in top tier journals and conferences including AAAI ICWSM, ACM IMC, IEEE Trans. on AI, IEEE/ACM ASONAM, Springer Scientometrics, IEEE Trans. on Learning Technologies, and ACM SIGCOMM Computer Communication Review. He also serves as Member of TPCs, Shadow TPCs, and Reviewer for many top tier conferences and journals including ACM IMC, IEEE EDUCON, The Web Conference, and AAAI ICWSM. He is also an affiliated researcher at the IHSAN Lab, Qatar University, Doha, Qatar. He has also advised several startups and growing software development houses as Consultant for Machine Learning and Natural language Processing (NLP) based infrastructure deployments.
