Philip Anderson is an Assistant Professor in Northumbria University’s Computer and Information Sciences Department, a member of the Cyber Networks Research Group, and a member of the multidisciplinary Centre for Crime and Policing.

His research interests focus on digital forensics, with an emphasis on digital evidence and disclosure. Through a close working relationship with regional law enforcement agencies, he has focused his recent research on the application of artificial intelligence methods to identify and triage online chat conversations for grooming.
