Sabine Trepte is a full professor of Media Psychology at the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart, Germany. She investigates human behavior at the intersection of psychology and online media, centering on how online use changes our understanding of social support, self-disclosure, and privacy. She investigates online privacy with large-scale projects—for example, with a representative 5-year longitudinal study on privacy, disclosure, and social support. Sabine published a book titled “Privacy Online”. In 2023 the follow-up volume titled “Routledge Handbook of Privacy and Self-Disclosure in Social Media” will be published.
