Dr Ayca G. Kaymakcioglu is an educational researcher focusing on gender and education policy. Currently, she is a Post-Doctoral Research Assistant at the Open University Law School, where she works on the Protecting Girls from Online Harm: an inner-city exploration project.
She completed her PhD in 2021 in Educational Sciences from Bogazici University in Turkey. She worked as a Research Support Assistant in the School of Education at Liverpool John Moores University, where she actively engaged with research projects that focused on gender equality in English language education and women’s leadership in higher education. Her research interests include gender and education policy, global governance of education, social justice in education, and critical research methodologies in educational research.
